In this chapter, we learn that King Lear's ancestor, prana, is still alive and well. He's just been released from prison, and he's happy to be back on his own. He thanks the king for freeing him from his imprisonment. He also tells the king that the human race has driven out prana's kind, and that prana is now only summoned to meet with the king whenever there is trouble.
