About This Chapter
The scene opens with the bakery owner, Bob, trying to make a milk cake for his pastry class. He's upset because the ingredients are too much sugar and salt, and he doesn't want anyone to try it with him. He tries to explain that he's just trying to change his relationship with his girlfriend, but she won't listen to him. She tells him that she and her boyfriend have been together for five years, but that the heroine in the movie "Kung Fu" is so fierce that she hates women like her. She asks him to give her a cake so she can tell him the truth. He says he'll give it to her, and she'll forgive him. The bakery owner says that she made the cake herself, and that she's sorry that she didn't tell him sooner. He asks who she is. She says she'd never know that she was in love with him if she hadn't told him about her love of kung fu. She's not finished with him yet, though, because she wants to know what's going to happen to her and her relationship with her boyfriend.
