During the harvest season, grasshoppers will attack the family's cornfields. Omekongo's mother asks the family to work on her farm, and one day, she asks them to do so. When the grasshoppers attack, the family flees to the temple, where they find holy water. Three days later, the villagers find the family lying on the floor in the temple's holy water, wondering if it is safe to drink. The villagers believe that the water is poisonous, so they let the family drink it. The next morning, the grasshopper king returns, and the family runs to the cornfield to save it.
