Back at the school, we find out that the school is still on the road with the other students. They're still on their way to meet the headmaster, who's on his way back from the tournament. The headmaster tells the students that he's just heard about the school's involvement in the tournament, and that they're glad to see him. He also tells them that the chieftain who just killed a bunch of the other boys is also a member of the tournament's "parochial" group. The school board might accuse the headmaster of being a traitor, but the headmaster says that's not the case. He's helping the other chieftains to spy on the school so that they can use it against them.
