In this short scene, we learn that elena has kissed her friend, noel, and that the two have been secretly in love ever since. We learn that noel and elena have been in love since the beginning of their relationship, but that their friendship has gradually turned into something more, a "another kind of connection" . Noel and June decide to go out for dinner and a drink afterwards, but no sooner does the two kiss than they realize that they are in love again. Unsure of what to think, they ask each other if they are okay with each other, and when noel says that she is, she tells them that she has been away from school for three days and that they should come see each other more often. Confused, June tells noel that she does not want to know what is going on between them, and noel tells her that she just told her about it. She tells her to be aware that nothing happened between them at all, but says that if she had asked her, she would have told her that he was crazy about her.
