The next morning, Hiro wishes to say hi to his new neighbor, Mina. Mina tells him that he has committed a "horrid crime" in another life and that she is not following him. She asks him if he is going to tell her about what happened to him the other day, and he says that he would never do such a thing as blackmail. He tells her that it is okay if she is mean to him, as long as it is not her fault. Mina says that she does not care about her friend's birthday, since she hates her. She tells Hiro that she wants to go to the zoo to see the hyenas. He says that it would surprise him if the two hit it off with the zoo. He asks her if it is possible that he is the same person as she is, and she says that is possible, but that he does not have to answer her questions. She says that if she let him be with her, she would not need anything else. She adds that she will devote herself to supporting her friend because that is what it means for her to love someone.
