About This Chapter
The next morning, the two vampires prepare to leave for their new hideout. The first vampire asks the second if he wants to marry, but the first says he'd rather die than marry someone he doesn't love. The second asks if he's in love with the first vampire, and the first responds that he is. He's not in love, he says, because he wants the other vampires to come back to town and make a comeback. The two vampires agree that it's a bad idea that they're coming to town to kill people. They're here to make a show of their vampire abilities, and they don't want to be seen as weaklings. The only way they can do that is by using their power to hypnotize people. The last vampire, the one who's been missing since the beginning of the story, has been knocked over by a cat. The other vampire asks if they can use the shed where they've been hiding to get away from the town. He thinks it'd be a good idea to do so, since it'll give them a place to keep their weapons.
