In this chapter, Polonius asks his wife where she will go once she graduates from school. She tells him that she has no family waiting for her, that she is old, and that she will soon lose her powers. Polonius tells her that he has wasted his time since he is immortal, and he wonders if there is any way she can feel the suntan on her skin. He wonders if she has done that before, and she says that she does not. She asks him if he feels pain in his chest as time passes, and Polonius says that he does. He asks her if she is okay, and when she says she is, she tells him to stop acting like he is a grown-up, and stop acting as if he has nowhere to go. She says that they are here to look at her fate, and to continue the revolution
