In this chapter, we are introduced to Olivia, who is now a grown-up woman. She is surprised to find that her lover is still the same man she was when she was a child. Olivia tells her father that she has grown up so that she will be able to protect his daughter from harm. She tells him that she wants to go hunting with him when she gets her dog back.
