About This Chapter
In this short scene, Milady laments the fact that she has to wear pants that are too short for Milady's son, who is now 8 years older than her. Milady also laments that Milady has been wearing pants that have been too long for her son, because Milady was forced to wear them when he was a young child. She laments how Milady does not seem to care about her son's appearance, and how she still has to shorten his pants, even though he is older than she. She also criticizes Milady for ignoring the feelings of other people in order to win a dance competition at the Ten Pei Cup, a competition for young dancers. She compares Milady to a jerk who ignores other peoples' feelings, and says that she will lose to him in the next round of the competition. She tells Milady that she wants to dance with Milady because she was his partner in the previous competition, and Milady tells her that she should have danced with him instead of Gaju because Gaju's dance was so sloppy. She then goes on to criticize Milady, saying that she is getting tired of her mood swings, and that something is wrong with her.
