In this chapter, Lin tries to convince his brother that he is the mastermind of the plot to kill him. He tells him that the photo was taken by one of his men, and that he has been pursuing Lin for some time. Lin tells his brother to stop acting like a fool, and to explain what he has learned about the family's business. He explains that the family has no rival in the cloud city, but recently, the family sold some of their stock through ten of its subsidiary companies, in order to get 100 million of cash. Instead, they invested all their money in a company called Lanxiang, which is a mining company. Lin explains that they immediately sent wealthy guests to the island, pretending to be wealthy guests. Lin then explains that he had discovered gold vines on the land belonging to the family, and wanted to mine the vines in secret. Lin asks his brother if he can call off his men for him, but his brother refuses, saying that he doesn't deserve sympathy. Lin accuses his brother of sending the assassins, and he vows to rip his brother apart with his bare hands.
