This is a locked chapterChapter 10: The Lady, the Ninja, and the Emblem of Love
About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that Asukai and Tetamaki are in the middle of a "couple contest," a competition in which eligible couples compete to win the chance to kiss someone else in front of a crowd of spectators. As the scene opens, we are introduced to the protagonist, who is a student at the school. He has heard that there is a competition for "couples," and he wants to participate in the contest. He is also a member of the "miu committee" for the contest, which means he is one of the eligible couples. As he is about to enter the competition, he is interrupted by Benio, who tells him that the two of them are in a "personal space" throughout the competition. The protagonist is shocked, and he is upset that he has agreed to enter. He feels that he is being manipulated by Beuno, and is angry that he will not be able to win. He tells Benio to stop crying, and to be careful, because there is nothing between him and Miu until round three of the competition has begun. He asks Benio why he has been acting like a "ninja," and Benio says that he did not want to kill Miu and tamaki, but that he was following them because he wanted to see them. He then tells the protagonist that Miu was ready to die within a month, and the protagonist is disgusted with him.
