About This Chapter
In this chapter, Benio tells his uncle that he wants to marry Tetamaki and become his heir. He tells him that the tradition of marrying the first person who kisses a princess has been around for thousands of years. Benio says that his uncle never told him that he was his first love from the "child hood" , and he hopes that he will be able to count the number of times he has kissed the princess on his wedding day. He says that if the princess finds out that they have not actually kissed, she will make him count. The uncle says that he cannot allow Benio to marry a "ninja" . He also says that the "traditions" of the family have always been against it. He adds that the couple has finally arrived and that he hopes the uncle will cheer them on. He asks why he didn't tell him sooner, and the uncle replies that he should have asked for advice. He then tells Benio that he is glad they are happy for each other and that they are a "good match." Benio is glad that everyone is happy for them, but he is worried that they will be unable to bring themselves to oppose their love. He reminds the uncle that when he was only three years old, he took his eyes off Benio's mother and ran away from her. He is happy that he has always been able to beat him at racing and anything else, and that the uncle has never beaten him at anything since. He wonders why the uncle is half-assing their plan, and Benio replies that it is because he is "uncle." He says he would have been lonely if it wasn't for the uncle and his father for him. He explains that he took her eyes off of Benio when she was three, and since then, he has never beat him
