In this chapter, Cai Ming-liang explains how he managed to send a message to Lieutenant Guizhou from the battlefield, and how the police were able to intercept the message. He also explains that he and Guizhou only know each other's code, and that the two of them are the only two who know the code. He invites Guizhou to join him for a military exercise.
