Zhuang tells her that he has heard that the clan has a magical lotus that can even bring back a dead body. He wants to write to the emperor to ask for the lotus. He tells his mother that he was outside the palace just now and that this matter has no bearing on her. He asks her if she still wants to seek revenge, and she says that she does. She tells him that she stole the mirror because he was so sullen. He says that if he doesn't find the mirror in this lifetime, he can give up trying to find it in the future. He also tells her to come along with him once they reach the sect, because once they get there, they can leave.
