The narrator returns to the house. He's happy to see his old friend. He tells the narrator that he's just got a part-time job as a waiter. The narrator doesn't really know what to say, but he does tell the narrator to do his best to earn money. He says he'll do the dishes and clean the tub, too, because that's how he earns his living. He asks the narrator if he'd like to go watch some more of the show, and the narrator agrees to go.
