In this short scene, we learn that Lysander's mother is not at all pleased with her son's attentions to her son-in-law, Prince Alphonse. She tells him to get out of the house and leave her son alone with Lysander. He tells her that he is taking him back to the abbey because he is drunk. He then tells her to get dressed and put on some feminine clothing so that he will not be seen as a pervert.
