This chapter opens with a discussion of the harassment that has been going on between Tomoda and Imada since the beginning of the year. Tomoda is now in charge of a new web design project at the company, and she has been harassing Imada by sending her an e-mail with the company's latest business information. Imada has quit the project, and Tomoda will take charge of it tomorrow. The narrator is worried that Imada is being harassed by Tomoda because he has been supporting her all this time, and he is sure that if Tomoda leaves, he will be able to stand by her side.
