The Governess wakes up early to prepare for her meeting with Lord Li. She tells Li that she's glad he's so clean and warm, because in her old life, she never slept well. Now, she says, she'd rather be "warm and clean" than "cold and dirty" . She also tells him that she has handed over the Governess's powers to the eunuchs, and she'll hand over the accounts to him in a month's time. She's worried that Li's "highness" won't be able to keep up with the accounts, so she tells him to go ahead and do it.
