This short scene opens with a flashback to the beginning of the novel, when Hirokazu's sister, Teta, tells him that her brother, Eiji, is trying to get her to have sex with him. Teta tells her that he has made a love potion for her, but she cannot tell her parents about it because she is afraid to tell them what has happened.
