This chapter opens with a flashback to a conversation between arimura and a young man named Chiki. The young man, who is named Chiaki, is the son of the head of a financial group and the chairman of the school where Chiki is a student. Chiki has asked for an extra year of college so that he can inherit some of the group's money. The flashback shows the young man's excitement when he learned that he would inherit money from his grandfather, who had told him that Chiki wanted one last chance to live a normal life as a student before becoming a member of the family's financial elite.
