In this chapter, we're introduced to Akishima and his wife, who've just gotten engaged. They're in the middle of a conversation about marriage, and Akashima is trying to figure out what to do with his life now that he's married. He's worried about what his future will hold, and he wants to know what's going on in the world of coffee. He wants to find out about the latest trends in the coffee business, so he can figure out a way to market his new product. Aki-shima tells him that he should go ahead and create the new product, even though it's not a good idea. He also tells her that they're going to have to hire a new sales rep to do the job, since the old one has already left town. He tells her to be patient, though, because they'll have to work hard to get the job done.
