Kiyoi asks if he's really alive, and the director says that he is. The two of them discuss the ghost that appeared in the previous scene, and how it manifested itself in Kiyo's emotions towards the director. Kiyo asks if there's something that Kiyo wants to tell the director, and Kiyo says that at the time, he didn't think he was guilty of anything, and that he was the one that played the part of the ghost and ran away. He's happy now, and he hopes that the other two will find happiness in their new life together. He asks the director to give him the room, and they manage to get it.
