In this chapter, we learn that the protagonist, a young man named Azumi, has become a professional chef. He tells us that when he was a child, he used to make a macaron for a crying baby girl who lived in his neighborhood. The baby girl, who was a bit of a glutton for food, told Azumi that the macaron was delicious, and Azumi named his restaurant after her. Azumi is so drunk that he can barely speak. He asks Azumi if he is okay, but Azumi tells him that he is not. He then tells Azumi about a trap that he uses to lure a hungry beast into a cage. When the beast enters the cage, Azumi eats him.
