The next morning, Azumi arrives at the house of the Governess. He asks her how she is, and she tells him that she is fine. He tells her that he has made her a pheasant soup, and that he would like to see her again for the interview. She tells him to come back the next week for another interview, and he agrees. Azumi asks him if he is all right, and Azumi says that he is, but that he needs to write an article about what happened the night before. The Governess tells Azumi to sit down and rest, but Azumi insists that they go somewhere else. He says that it is his job as a journalist to "open his innermost heart" .
