It's winter in China, and it's even more cold than usual. The narrator tells us that he's dressed like a "bamboo wrap" . He's worried about his mom, who told him to "dress warm" , but he refuses to listen to him. He wants to buy her some new clothes, so he tells her that if she wants anything else, he'll give her a discount. He says that if he wants more clothes, he can buy more. He tells the narrator that he doesn't really want to come home with him, because he used to be like the kitten in the cold. The kitten needs someone else to care for him, so the narrator gives him a name: "little bear." The narrator says that he likes the name so much that he can't wait to tell the kitten that he loves him back. He asks the kitten if he'd be able to come back to the future if he said that out loud, and the kitten says, "Crackle!" The narrator wonders if this will be on the front page of the paper, since it was snowing when it was last recorded in China. He wonders why the kitten is fading away, and then he asks the narrator to tap him on the shoulder and tell him that he has something for him. Then the narrator tells him that his love for him will always be with him.
