It's been a long day for Biron, and he's feeling a little worn out. He's going to take a bath, and then he wants to go to bed. He asks Biron if he can sleep on the couch instead of the bed, but Biron doesn't want to listen to his request. Biron tells Biron that he'll take him to see the crocuses, and Biron promises to take him there someday. After Biron leaves, Biron asks him if he took a picture of the snow on the first day of the new year. He replies that he took one of the pictures on the second day, and that's when he realized that the snow was the same color as the ice on the previous day's post. He wonders if she saw the snow that day, but she didn't reply to his question. He goes on to ask Biron what happened to his scholarship, and she tells him that she forgot to submit her information, so he can't ask her to send someone to pick her up. She also asks him to meet her for coffee the next day, because she has some other questions.
