This chapter opens with a soliloquy by laura. She tells us that she's been hanging out with laura four times before, and that she thinks he's a "lot harder" man than she is. laura tells laura that she doesn't want to be alone with him anymore, because "this whole room smells like sex and damnation" . She says that she and laura have a lot of "likes" in the room, and she wonders if they can complain about privacy, given where they were. . , laura says, "you can't blame a girl for wanting to be curious and shy now" , and , she adds, "we've got stupid". . she says that laura is able to "speak the tongue of gods" and that "some of the placed's mortals" will be angry at her for giving up the gift of speaking to the gods. She adds that if she were a god, she would have to be "amaterasu" and not think she wants to be a "god" because she thinks she'd need to be someone else to be able to do what she wants. She also says that they get to do it together and that it would have been better if they had both been tired after the "solid days of partying"
