Back at the batcave, the guys are talking about killing the little girl. They don't want to kill the girl's parents, but they're worried that she's about to be killed. They've got a plan: they'll put down their weapons, and if they find out that ananke's trying to murder the girl, they can use more weapons to stop the killing. They can't just kill a kid. They have to kill a whole bunch of people, they say, because the great darkness of the universe is the cause of all evil. They think that killing the girl is a small part of the grand plan. They also think that the girl was asleep when they went up to kill her, and they'd never know if it was self-defense or not.
