About This Chapter
The next morning, the monster wakes up to find himself in the middle of a nightmare. He's not sure what's going on, but he's pretty sure that it's all because of Sychmet. He doesn't want to leave the country, he says, because she's such a bad influence on the rest of the world. But he also knows that the country is grateful to him for his help, and he'd like to thank her for sparing the lives of everyone in the party. He also says that he'll be able to find out where she is if he can take her to a safe place. He tells the monster that the underground is full of people who are afraid of him, and that he needs to find a place for her to live. The monster says that it would be a good idea if she were confined to the same place as Morrigan and his men, because it would make her feel better about herself. He says that they fought, and they won, and now they're waiting for him to come back and save them all. He wants to know why he brought him to Ananke in the first place, and why he hasn't been able to save him yet. He asks the monster if the price is worth it, and the monster replies that the place is "amazing" .
