The scene opens with the main character, biluo quin, making his way to the front. He's late, but he doesn't care. He just wants to know why his soldiers are killing him. He wants the generals to know that he's the one who's killing them. He tells them that if they kill him, they'll get to spend the night with him. Aww, that's kind of lame. He also tells them to back off, because he only cares about the woman he loves. He says that he can even drink water from the foot wash of the woman who works all the time. He asks if he can kill her, but before he can do that, he asks if she knows why she's so loyal to him. She's hardworking, he says, and they like each other's pure souls. Ooh, he wonders if he knows what's going on, and he wants the pearl back so he can get it back. He promises to kill the general if he returns the pearl to him, and then he promises to let Lin go immediately. He then says he'll kill Lin when he gets his hands on the pearl. He swears that he won't change back to his old self if Lin lets go of her, and that Lin will have to die with him if he ever dies.
