In this chapter, Ming-Gingye tries to convince Zenghe to accept him as his spiritual support. He says that he has grown up and that he does not need anyone to support him. He tells Ming that he wants to be the fastest knife in his hand, and that when he is still alive, he would like to be his knife. In his previous life, he was a knife, but now, he says, he wants a knife that will protect the nation in the future. He wants to protect all the people in his life, and he wants only one person to protect him.
