In this short scene, we learn that Zsuzhao has signed a contract to return to the "Jade Pendant" , and that he has obtained the freedom to do so. In order to do this, he has agreed to drink a large amount of bitter medicine, which he has not done since he was born. He tells us that even though he feels that his soul has become lighter, it is actually his soul that has turned into "pieces and flew out" . He says that he is "exhausted" to keep him alive, and he tells us, "I'm not going to die, am I . . what's happening with you?" . In fact, he says, his lower part of his body is missing, and it seems like he has done "too many bad things" in his previous life, and this is why he is so hungry. He decides to test this out first, and if it is true, he will eat more good food.
