In this chapter, we are introduced to a young man named Nemo, who is studying for his final exams. He tells us that he has been struggling with his studies, and that he is worried about his future. He asks Nemo if he can come over and help him sleep. Nemo tells him that he can, but that he will not be able to recover the soul of Lapis. Nemo asks him to wash his dishes and clean his room, and Nemo agrees.
