The scene opens with a flashback to the previous scene, in which Dr. Rivers and Dr. Barlow are talking in the kitchen. Rivers tells Barlow that he is going on a business trip, and Barlow tells Rivers that she will be coming with him. Dr. Bledsoe enters and apologizes for his rudeness to the doctor. He apologizes that he was rude to the other doctor, and he apologizes to the family for his behavior. He tells them that he has come to apologize to them for their rudeness, and that he will forgive them. He says that he does not want to go on another business trip because he has something important to discuss with his daughter. He explains that after the incident, he did a little digging and found out that both of the women were friends. He then tells the women that he would be going on the business trip as well, and they are shocked to learn that he means to do so as well. They are all shocked and confused, but they agree that they will go on the trip as planned
