In this short scene, we learn that Darnay's son escaped from the attack on his village and that he is now in the care of Zedekiah. Darnay has come to find out the whereabouts of his son, who has escaped the attack. He has sent for Zillakiah to find him and he will update Darnay once he receives the information.
