Back at the beginning of the second chapter, zaihui tells the gang that he needs to talk to them privately. He wants to know if they know about the alien invasion. They don't know about it, he says, because the monsters are so dense that they're hard to track down. He asks if they can find a place to hide, and they all agree that it's best to do so. They're not sure if they'll find the right place, but they can't wait any longer. They decide to go ahead and find the coordinates, and then they can talk about how strange it is to be alone in the middle of nowhere. They agree that there's still 35 days until the end of the chapter.
