In this short scene, Malateste tells his servant that he has to go to the house of the Governess. He tells her that he wants to see her, and she tells him that she is not feeling well. She tells him to wake up, and he tells her to do so. When she wakes up, she finds out that she has shared her vital information with him, and that he shared it with her because he wanted her to die. She says that she will give him his vitality back, and when he says that humans do not die easily, she says that he is mistaken.
