In this chapter, we're introduced to a new character, a married woman who's constantly being teased by her husband's wife for her sex life. We're also introduced to some of the other characters in the play, including the doctor and his wife, the nurse and her husband, and the young woman and her lover. We learn that the doctor is a member of the Brotherhood, which is a religious organization dedicated to the revival of Christianity in the United States. He's also a big fan of the women's movement, and he's a big believer in the power of women to change the world for the better
