In this chapter, we learn that the goddess of the moon is usually very aloof, and that she is also very lonely at night. When the goddess asks the boy why he is at night, the boy tells her that he is on his way to visit his father, who is an alien king who came to earth to be bored. The boy explains that he was born during his father's lifetime, and he is therefore an alien, not a human.
