Shortly after graduating from high school, the narrator sees a huge rainbow in the sky. He asks a friend of his from his previous year to go out with him. The friend agrees, and the narrator promises to give the friend a bonus point for every time they go out together. The two men head off to the library, where the narrator buys a magazine and sees a model in a bathing suit. The narrator wonders if the man is mad about something, but the friend assures him that he's not. The pair heads off to have a little chat, and then the narrator tells the friend that he has been waiting for him all this time.
