About This Chapter
Oota asks for help because he's worried that shinagawa will find out about his shady business dealings. He's a customer, and if Oota is caught, his boss will be fired. Oota doesn't think that he'll ever be able to work with them, so he asks his friend to make him a suit. He tells Oota that he picked him up from his mother's house when he was fifteen years old, and that's how he got to where he is today. He asks Oota if he wants to come with him, and Oota tells him that it would be better if they fought, because it would mean that Oota's boss would have to go under. He says that he can't believe Oota would ever want to work for them, and he wonders why they would want to leave the old stores in the new mall. He also says that it's best if they didn't fight, because fighting would make it easier for them to give up their business. He suggests that they go eat at a nearby restaurant, and then he can rustle up a suit for Oota. He then tells his friend that he came to ask Oota for work, and when he got there, he told him that he could prepare too, and they could make a suit together. He leaves the money to Oota, and tells him to go ahead and make the suit for him. He goes on to say that he knows that they're not going to fight, but that they should just leave the district and go to a different part of town, where they'll be more likely to be
