In chapter two, the narrator tells his grandmother that he has come to tell her about his new job. He tells her that he is going to talk to Adachi, who is the son of a tailor. He says that he admired him when he was younger, and that he will help him make it. The narrator says that his parents are going to be transferring for work, so he will have to return to his hometown.
