It's lunch time, and kou and shrimpy are eating. Ooh, it's time for a little game of "ground rules" . First off, kou says that he's going to make shrimpy hate him today. He's got thirty-four dollars, and he wants to make sure that she doesn't like him too much. Plus, he has a hundred bucks in one of his pockets, so he'll be able to buy her a bunch of stuff she'll probably never want. Aww, that's a lot of money for a girl to buy stuff for. He also says that she's too strong, and that she might like his face, but she can't really like his optimism. He tells her that both of them are cute, because they suit her, right? And then he tells her about his sister, who's just decided that they're going to be boyfriends. She's already made up her mind, he says, and she'd rather not tell anyone about it. But, he adds, if you're a girl, you've got to tell someone about it, because it'll make them jealous. He says that his sister has already told him that she loves him, but that she won't tell anyone because she wants to keep the secret a secret from her twin brother.
