Rine and her sister are in the forest when they hear the voice of a "shirano" . Rine tries to find out who it is, but Rine is too distracted to follow the voice. They go to the water sanctuary, where they find that the lake has completely disappeared, and that the statues of the dead King have been placed there. When Rine asks who the other woman is, she is told that she is a shirano, a holy woman who weeps at the loss of her husband's life. She also hears a voice, which she thinks is that of her sister, saying that they are in a water sanctuary and that there is a massacre going on. She tries to get away from the scene, but the voice tells her to stay and look for help. She finds her sister's rosary on the ground, but she is not among the dead. She asks Rine to stop worrying about the place, because it has been contaminated with blood.
