In this chapter, the demon-possessed Cambion explains to his half-beast companion, the fox, how he has been able to harness both of their powers. He explains that he is an orphan and that his parents are on the demon side, but he does not know who they are. He says that the fire that he has brought out is called "prison flame" and that the wind that it blows is different from the wind he used to create it. He adds that the synergy between his powers and the fox's is greater than ever, and he is certain that they will soon be able to meet their full potential.
