In this chapter, bashal is introduced to her family. She tells them that she was attacked by three hounds last night. One of the hounds was killed, and the other two were alive. She asks guseul to find the location of the hound base and kill the hounds. He tells her not to worry, because cain is a half-human, so he will not run wild again. He also tells her that he has been training cain to fight the hounds, but bashal thinks that he was just watching because he was scared. He thinks that cain has gotten stronger and stronger, and bashal wonders where she came from.
