This chapter opens with a description of the attack that took place on the third branch's temporary office. The evil hunter team leader, bam, explains that the attack resulted in the deaths of nine hostages and the destruction of half of the headquarters. He also reports that there were several demon kings, and that they seek to conquer human beings. bam explains that he will have to think of ways to shorten the distance between branches to reduce the number of enemy forces. He adds that he has also learned that there are many cambions in the human race that have demon blood.
