In this chapter, we learn that the pursuit team has been on the road for four hours, and that the escape team has not taken the car. We learn that there is no sign of the butler, and the fact that the villa is not in the possession of the escape party means that the butler is a fake. The fact that they have not been talking makes them feel better, and they open the villa to look inside. Inside, they find that the summer has passed, the air conditioning has been turned up, and there is a new boy in their escape group who wants to meet them in person.
