In this chapter, the gang is given 36 days to escape. They're supposed to escape from the Marshal's mansion, but they're not supposed to do so until they've had a chance to prepare for the big day. The guys decide to go for a drive, since they don't want to risk being caught on their first day. They decide to ask the Marshal about the prey and the predator, since the predator is the one who's going to kill them.
